The Fairy Tale We’re Told

In a perfect world, Mommy meets Daddy. They get married, build a life, buy a home, have kids, raise them with a dog, a yard, and maybe a pool. They take vacations, grow together, watch their kids become adults, and live happily ever after.

That’s the fairy tale. That’s what we’re all told to expect.

But for most families, that’s not reality.

Nobody gets married thinking they’ll end up in family court. Nobody imagines becoming enemies. Nobody plans to use their children as leverage. Nobody dreams of custody battles, hearings, or court dates.

Life happens. Stress happens. People change. People break. People grow apart. And suddenly the fairy tale becomes something else entirely.

This page exists to say one thing:

You’re not alone. You’not a failure. You’human.

The fairy tale may not be real — but compassion, understanding, and better systems can be.
